Q 1: What kind of surface are the courts made of ?

A: The courts consist of a porous concrete construction called “quick” which allows a fast drainage of the water after rainfall. In most cases play can be resumed within 10 minutes. The surface is soft on the knees comparable to the clay court.

Q 2: Can we play tennis at night ?

A: Yes, we have a professional lighting infrastructure which illuminates each court at 8000 Watts. We are open daily until 8 P.M.

Q 3: We are 4 people who want to play doubles and therefore we have reserved one hour of court time. What is the cost ?

A: You will be charged for 1 hour of court time (compare rates in the rate section) since you are occupying 1 court. The fees are per court and per hour, no matter how many people occupy the court during this 1 hour.

 Q 4: I have purchased a 7-days tennis pass. Can I get a refund if I don’t play every day ?

A: All prepaid packages are non-refundable. Prepaid packages give our customers the advantage of getting a discount on the regular rate. If you are concerned about not getting your money’s worth out of a package or the weather forecast you might be better off paying each time at the regular rate.

Q 5: What is the cancellation policy for reservations made prior to arrival ?

A: Cancellations by customers made more than 21 days before course commencement will incur a 10% charge plus a nominal cancellation fee. Cancellations within 8 to 21 days will incur a 50% cancellation fee plus  a nominal cancellation fee, between 0 and 7 days will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Q 6: I have a tennis lesson or tennis clinic scheduled at 6 P.M. but it is raining. Do I still have to pay for the lesson or clinic ?

A: The weather is beyond our control. The lesson or clinic will be cancelled and therefore no charge will arise for you. If you wish to reschedule the lesson or clinic for a later date, we would be very happy to do so.

Q 7: What is the cancellation policy for prepaid packages?

I used a credit card to book a prepaid tennis package. By mistake I declined the charge and my credit card company is going to deny the payment. What is going to happen ?

A7a: All prepaid packages are non-refundable.

A7b: We will re-submit the charge. An administration fee of $ 25.- or more applies depending on the amount declined.

Q 8: If we don’t have reservations can we just walk in ?

A: If there are courts available you can play right away. For lessons and clinics we recommend reservations.

Q 9: What is the cancellation policy for reserved court time, clinics or lessons ?

A: Cancellations by customers made more than 48 hours prior to scheduled court time, clinics or lessons will not incur cancellation charges. Cancellations within less than 48 hours prior to scheduled court time, clinics or lessons will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Q 10: I have a tennis lesson or tennis clinic scheduled at 6 P.M. but it is raining. Do I still have to pay for the lesson or clinic ?

A: The weather is beyond our control. The lesson or clinic will be cancelled and therefore no charge will arise for you. If you wish to reschedule the lesson or clinic for a later date, we would be very happy to do so.

Q 11: I’m late for my tennis lesson or tennis clinic. What should I do ?

A: Please give us a call and inform us about the delay. The lesson or clinic will not be prolonged and end exactly at the time foreseen. If you cannot make it to your lesson or clinic due to any unforeseen circumstances you will be charged according to our cancellation policy.(please also refer to What is the cancellation policy for reserved court time, clinics or lessons?)

Q 12: I have reserved court time. I’ll be running late and cannot make it on time. What is your Policy ?

A: First of all we would appreciate a phone call from you stating that you will be running late. Generally we keep the court available for you until 10 minutes after the hour.

If you show up after this time and we have not rented the court to someone else you can still play. Play will end exactly at the time foreseen unless you would like to extend your play for one more hour (given the circumstance that the court is available). In case you don’t show up at all you will still be charged for the reserved court time according to our cancellation policy (please also refer to What is the cancellation policy for reserved court time, clinics or lessons?).
